Gluten Free Fish-n-Chips

January 20th, 2010 at Wed, 20th, 2010 at 11:19 am by Lisa - Gluten Free Foodie

There are a few things about living in Pacific NW that you can always count on - a cold rainy fall and winter, a rainy spring and a gorgeous summer after July 5th. There is one meal that gets us through any weather – our favorite must have Fish-N-Chips that we love to eat year round!

Well, I can tell you that I am back to being a happy Gluten Free Crispy Battered Cod and Halibut – Fish-N-Chips eater again! I just discovered this last night and wanted to tell you about it right away! I happened to see it at Town & Country Market when I was walking by the Seafood and Frozen section of the store. It is by Starfish and is made in  Mukilteo, WA. I picked up both the Cod and the Halibut and really liked them both. They also offer Haddock but T&C didn’t have it. I love that they are a local company!

What really impressed me is that not only are they Gluten Free but – peanut free, soy free, milk free, egg free, wheat free and no trans fats!

The fish is wild and all natural portions, not minced or ground, so it is tender and flaky.

I immediately went home and made a quick green salad and

popped the fish in the oven with some organic shoestring fries. The meal took about 15- 17 minutes to heat up and sit down to enjoy it! So easy, delicious and satisfying to know that I have another good Gluten Free meal to make in no time! Hopefully you can find it at a store near you or contact them on their website for more information http://www.star-fish.com/
I know I am going to stock up on this for the storms to come …

Enjoy!
