Skyline forward Kasen Williams (25) breaks free for dunk against Woodinville during a SeaKing 4A district tournament game at Juanita High School in Kirkland on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. I have several frames from the sequence, but these three are the peak action images. So, if you’re my photo editor which of these is your favorite frame? Which do you select for print — 1, 2 or 3? Leave you choice and why in the comments, and I’ll drop my answer and why in a little later.

This week presented a photographic first for me, as I had the opportunity to mount a remote camera to the backboard for a basketball game. Nate Robinson, a guard for the NBA’s Boston Celtics and former University of Washington Husky, held his annual basketball camp at the Community Center at Mercer View on Mercer Island this week. I dropped by with Mercer Island Reporter sports writer Megan Managan to check out the scene and this is what we found… a bunch of kids having fun learning the game of hoops as Nate wandered amongst the campers laughing, showing off his dance moves to a blaring music collection of “Jock Jams” and having good time. A quick photo recap of the Bellevue boys and Mercer Island girls tournament runs at the Washington State 3A Basketball championships at the Tacoma Dome last week. Above, Bellevue’s Will Locke flying high for two points against Glacier Peak. More photos after the jump…
It’s WIAA state basketball tournament time, and I spent the last two days at the Tacoma Dome following several 4A teams from the Eastside — Skyline boys, Newport girls and Lake Washington boys. Lots of action, but I still try to vary my shooting postion or style to keep it from getting to look to uniform. Enjoy these and I’ll add some more posts as the 3A tournament kicks into gear next week. More images after the jump…
